Trump says he's working on making 15% ethanol gas to be more accessible
President Donald Trump announced Saturday that 15% ethanol gas could soon become more easily accessible. Trump said his administration will work to allow E-15 gas to be sold using 10% ethanol pumps with state approval. The move is to help increase demand for ethanol and corn. Trump said Sen. Joni Ernst was "relentless" in fighting for Iowa's biofuels industry. "This is what I've been pushing for since we secured E15 year-round: increased access to higher blends of ethanol and more choice at the pump for consumers," Ernst tweeted Saturday. Last year, the EPA removed regulation that prohibited the sale of E-15 from June 1 to Sept. 15.
